We are so lucky to have your voice, Dave. Hearing lies repeated over and over, with our own Iowa elected leaders participating in those lies can feel isolating and so discouraging. Your calm clarity is steadying.
Thanks, Virginia. It can be discouraging because they seem better than the Democrats do at picking a message, distributing it to all Republicans and then relentlessly repeating it.
Dave, I'm not afraid to write this. Your ideological orientation is showing. I'm not a supporter of either Donald Trump or Joe Biden and won't vote for either one in November. But if we are absolutely honest, neither president has been ethical in how he has approached either pollitical decisions or responded to the findings of the special prosecutors. Always enjoy your columns--especially when they focus on the media not politics.
Dave, as I wrote, I am not a Donald Trump or Joe Biden supporter. And your list of actions Mr. trump has taken is accurate. I’m less interested in what he claims he will do if reelected, journalists can speculate whether he will do those things. But speculation should remain on the editorial page not in regular news accounts. No one finds Hunter Biden’s drug addiction sadder than I. But the fact is that the Justice Department (DOJ) did attempt to negotiate a plea arrangement for Hunter that would result in no conviction on the gun charge if he pled guilty to tax evasion. A judge correctly questioned the propriety of that and the deal collapsed. Now the younger Biden goes on trial for tax evasion in September and most likely will be convicted. To answer your question, I think the Biden Administration has not been entirely innocent in this instance. And some media did report this. So perhaps I would say that your essay was not complete. Thanks for your reply.
Thanks Dave, for giving us the facts. I didn't know about all of those pardons, looks even worse than I thought with them all listed together. Virginia is right, the lies are discouraging. But then I read something like this and just imagine what it would be like if everyone could see the truth like this.

I certainly agree with you. I wish many of the Republicans would change their minds and back Biden

Thanks, Steve. Was there anything wrong in what I wrote?

Another excellent article, Dave! Iowa’s congressional delegation and state party sit quietly by, they have to know who/what their leader is. Shameful!

That was my goal. When you see them all listed together, it’s pretty obvious.
👍
Thank you, Dave.
