I’m working on a column about the Trump verdict but wanted to send out this note first. As luck would have it - tomorrow - Friday, May 31 is the last Friday of the month and that’s when we hold our monthly Office Lounge Zoom call with readers and writers from the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative.
It’s one of the benefits of being a paid subscriber. And boy, do we have plenty to talk about! Let’s hear what you’re thinking about today’s guilty verdict in the first Trump trial. I imagine we also might spend a little time on Supreme Court Justice Alito’s flags and his decision not to recuse from two election-related Trump cases before the court.
Here’s your chance to get perspective from other members of the Collaborative and to tell us what’s on your mind about these historic developments. Friday’s session will be led by the always-insightful Bob Leonard.
lf you’re a paid subscriber, the Zoom link will show up at the very bottom of this column, below the roster of writers.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
